Fix How You Speak

How to present so people listen

It’s not how you say it, its what you say that’s important! The first step to being an engaging and effective presenter is creating a compelling message. Where you stand, your props and your tonal inflections are all window dressing. What you say and its relevance to the audience is your true Power Point.

Program Highlights

  • Communicate from context or content as required
  • Models and metaphors the science and art of speaking
  • Creating memorable phrasing
  • Creating word pictures
  • Telling stories through context
  • Know your personal delivery mode
  • Stacking ideas, layering themes and driving agendas

The data deluge created by all things ‘information age’, not least being the world wide web, requires us to upgrade how we communicate to live groups. Its ironic that the upgrade is a return to message and a departure from modern day spin doctoring.
We also need to see a return to self, being authentic when we present is a major engagement key. Each of us has developed a way of communicating ideas that works for us. We often step out of this way and diminish our effectiveness. The easiest and most powerful way to fix how you speak is to speak in a way that suits your personal style.

Consider booking two presentations for your conference or have Matt back next year to continue the Fix momentum.
